   Follow steps 1 through 3 in “Force Uninstall.”

  Click the “Start” menu and then click the “Run...” link.

  Type “regedit.exe” in the text box and click “OK.”

  Navigate to “HKLM\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\McAfeeFramework” using the folders to the left.

  Double-click the “Start” value and set the data to four.

  Restart the computer.

  Press “Ctrl-Alt-Del” after the computer restarts fully to open the task manager.

  Open the “Processes” tab.

  Select “McTray.exe,” “UpdaterUI.exe” and “naPrdMgr.exe” and click “End Process.” You will have to select and end the process on all three individually.

  Click “Yes” to confirm.

  Open the “Start” menu and “Run” again.

  Navigate to the registry again from “Run.”

  Delete “McAfeeFramework” from the following registries using the folders in the left task pane:

  “HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services”
  “HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet001\Services”
  “HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet002\Services”
  “HKLM\\SYSTEM\CurrentControl\SetXXX\Services”

  Open the “HKLM\SOFTWARE\Network Associates\TVD\Shared Components\Framework” registry and remember or write down the values for the “Installed Path” and “Data Path.”

  Delete the “Installed Path” and “Data Path” values.

  Open “HKLM\SOFTWARE\Newtork Associates\TVD\Shared Components and delete “Framework.”

  Open “HKLM\SOFTWARE\McAfee\McTray” and delete “McTray.”

  Navigate to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\\Windows\CurrentVersionn\Uninstall\” and delete your McAfee Agent product key.

  Restart your computer for the above changes to take effect.
